It’s been a while since i posted an artwork. So… here’s another one of my work… i made this after reading a few books about sketching then started applying the things that i learned. I don’t know what to call this but… hmmm… She’s just an imaginary figure.

The second one is still from the same sketch but i just wanted to experiment with my favorite color.

Voltron

Here’s a step by step transformation of a robot named Voltron from pencil to color.

Difficulty Level: Hard

Materials Used:

1. Pencil

2. Eraser

3. Scanner

3. Wacom Tablet

4. Adobe Photoshop

5. Voltron Movie DVD (to refresh my memory)

6. Patience and Time

Step 1

Draw a sketch of the robot in paper then scan… (I only drew half of the robot in paper then finished it using my Wacom Tablet in photoshop. You can also do this straight using your tablet in photoshop if you want.) Your first draft doesn’t have to be perfect.

Step 2

Darken the Edges. I used the paintbrush tool for this i think it’s number 5 with hardiness 100%, Opacity at 80 and flow at 50%.

Step 3

Shade. I used the paintbrush tool and controlled the opacity and flow between 15%-60% with various brush sizes.

Step 4

Colored the black parts of the robot. Same process as Step 3.

Step 5

Now the colors… I started with Green…

Step 6

Reds…

Step 7

Yellows…

Step 8

Final Step… Blues… YEAH!
